Q: Will my Laser mouse function 100% on all your mouse pads?
A: No. The technology in Laser mice is different from Optical mice, and the first generation of Laser mice seems to have problems with certain surfaces.
Q: What mouse pads do you recommend for Laser mice?

Q: My Laser mouse is acting weird on one of your mouse pads. What can I do to solve the problem?
A: Sorry to hear that! The first generation of Laser mice seems to have problems with certain surfaces, but you can often remedy the problem by upgrading the firmware on the mouse (always use the latest firmware-drivers from the manufacturer of your mouse).
Q: Why do I get the Error Warning, "Z Engine has stopped working"?
A: This error is caused by a conflict between Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and the previous version of the Z Engine.
You can resolve this issue by updating to the latest Z Engine. Here is how:
Make sure you have administrative rights to your computer. Please make sure your device is connected during these steps. Please try the following to see if it helps (WARNING: this will delete your Custom Mods):
- Uninstall the Z Engine software by going to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add remove Programs
- Reboot computer
- Delete the following folders (WARNING: this will delete your Custom Mods):
1) C:\Program Files\Ideazon\Z Engine\
2)
a) If you have Windows 2000 or XP:
Click Start->Run and type %appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder
b) If you are using Windows Vista:
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Run)
and type %appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder
- Re-install the latest Z Engine drivers: www.steelseries.com/downloads
You should have a green Z Engine icon on your system tray which means your device should work properly.
Q: How can I fix a DBDE06 error"?
A: The DBDE06 error can occur for many reasons including MDAC, JET,.NET corruption, broken DB file, etc.
Please follow the steps exactly to re-install the driver. After you have removed the Zboard/Z Engine software please try the following steps:
Ensure that the Device remains plugged in through out this procedure.
1) Please completely remove the Zboard/Z Engine Software via Add/Remove Programs.
2) Delete all traces of our software manually everywhere (please ensure that your computer can show hidden files and folders for this task):
-C:\Program Files\Ideazon\Z Engine
AND...
(***Note: Deleting the folder below will delete all of your custom mod, please export them so that you can import them back after***)
- Click Start->Run and type %appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder
3) Your MDAC may be corrupt on your system. To resolve this issue, please repair your MDAC by going to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899861 and follow method 2 steps.
4) If you have Windows 2000 or XP: Try to repair your Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 and if the repair doesn't work, please uninstall the Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0.
Completely uninstall the.Net Framework Version 2.0 if you have it (Control Panel->Add or Remove Program)
Please note: If.NET v3.0 exists on your system, delete.NET v3.0 before deleting.NET v2.0. (as v2.0 uninstall fails w/o uninstalling v3.0 first).
5) Reinstall the.Net Framework Version 2.0 according to your operating system:

A: You will need to install the latest Z Engine in order for the WotLK keyset to work properly. Please do a clean install:

Q: To manually uninstall an MSI-based installation on your system, there are several steps, please see below for instructions:
1. Download and click run Microsoft's Windows Installer Cleanup utility located here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 (Note: This tool cleans up MSI-based installation packages on your system)
Open the Windows Installer Cleanup by:
1. Start ->Programs->Windows Installer Cleanup
2. Select (All users) Z Engine [2.3.x.x_NA]
3. Press Remove button
2. Reboot Windows, connect Zboard
3. Delete the Z Engine installation files & folders:
C:\Program Files\Ideazon\Z Engine or Zboard Software.
If you have Windows 2000 or XP:
Click Start->Run and type %appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder or Zboard Software folder.
If you are using Windows Vista:
